The Junior Competition is one of four competitions run annually by Port Macquarie Touch Association.
Our Junior Competition runs from October through to December each year at Tuffins Lane Sports Fields.
Junior Representative trials are conducted in September.

PLAYER REGISTRATIONS WILL OPEN ONCE EACH TEAM IS SETUP ON MY SIDELINE

PLAYER REGISTRATIONS CLOSE 8th OCTOBER BUT IF YOU WANT A TEAM SHIRT, SHIRTS, etc.,
YOU NEED TO GET INTO A TEAM ASAP.
STEP 3 - SHIRT ORDERS
SHIRT AND SHORTS ORDERS WILL BE DONE VIA MYSIDELINE WHEN YOU REGISTER
WE NEED SHIRT ORDERS BY 24th AUGUST - TO HAVE THE SHIRTS MADE IN TIME !!
Shirt and Shorts sizes form need to be in by:
* First orders to receive playing gear for Round 1 - Deadline is 24th August
* Last orders, to receive playing gear by approx Round 3 - Deadline is 14th September
Which competition should you be in?
U7, U9, U11 AGE FLEXIBILITY POLICY
The U7-U11 competitions are non-competitive.
Coaching:
It is proposed that the first week of U7 and U9 will be coaching sessions
undertaken by qualified Port Macquarie Touch Coaches or representative players.
This will enable all kids to be involved and give them the confidence to play and have fun.
Team Composition:
We require each team to have a minimum of 10 players up to a maximum of 14 players.
Where a team comprises a group of friends who wish to play as a team and a few of them are just over the age limit for the competition, PMTA will allow up to a maximum of three (3) overage children to play in that lower age division.
For example, a team in the U9 competition comprises 8 x nine year olds and two kids turning 10 years old before 31 December. Instead of forcing the whole team to play in the U11 competition, they will be able to all play in the U9s this summer season.
Number of Players Allowed on the Field
U7s ONLY: LOCAL RULE - 8 PLAYERS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD PER TEAM (UNDER REVIEW)
All other age groups: 6 players on the field as per Rules of Touch Edition 8
Match Duration
A match is 35 minutes in duration, comprising two (2) x 15 minute halves with a 5 minute half-time break.
There is no time off for injury during a match.
Local competition conditions (weather, etc.) may vary the duration of a match.
Team Names and Shirt Designs:
This year, we will all managers to choose the team names and the theme for the shirts from the suppliers list.
COMPETITION START DATES
U7s, U9s, U11s - Tuesday 10th October
U13s, U15s - Thursday 12th October
U17s - Tuesday 10th October (to be confirmed).
We will start the Junior Competition
on Tuesday 10 October and Thursday 12 October.

To register a player into your team, use the link below and type in “XXX”, where XXX is your team's name.

Now you can click on the team and register as a player.

For JUNIORS, don’t forget that you can use Active Kids Vouchers.
When typing in the number, do not put in any spaces !!!
Make sure you click the COMPLETE REGISTRATION button.
Registration fee to be paid online at time of registration
TFA Annual Membership Fee $22.00.
This is a once off fee that covers you for 12 months from 1 July.
REGISTRATION FEE IS: $100.00
This is a per competition fee.
ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS ACCEPTED!!!!
NEW TFA ANNUAL FEE
The TFA Annual Fee, allows a player to play in any number of competitions commencing between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024.
For example, Mary is a 15 year-old Touch player. She registers to play in the U15 summer competition on Thursdays. She then also wishes to play in the Women's Social Competition on Tuesdays. She is also selected to play for Port Makos G16 at JSC(N) in February 2024 and then plays with her mum, dad and older brother in the 2024 Winter Mixed Competition.
Over the year, she will only pay:

Port Macquarie Touch Association Inc. is a Not-for-Profit sporting organisation run by volunteers.
Our Competition Registration Fees cover:
NSW Touch Affiliation Fees and Insurance
Match balls and field markers
Referee payments, courses, shirts and whistles
Team shirts and shorts/tights
End-of-season gift for all players
Competition Management costs
The Junior Competitions will start:
Tuesday 10th October 2022: U7 and U9 (4:15pm), U11 (5:00pm) and U17 (5:00pm)
Thursday 12th October: U13 Girls (4:15pm), U13 Boys (5:20pm), U15 (4:45pm)
U13 and U15 competitions will NOT run at the same time due to the size of those competitions and referee availability.

Last competition rounds before Christmas
There might also be two double-header Sunday Gala Days on 16th and 30th October !!
